The party arrived in Mykonos aboard a mega-yacht called “Ulysses.” The extravagant yacht is complete with a large swimming pool and hot tub, a dining room, a wine cellar, several plush seating areas, enough bedrooms to accommodate 36 guests, a gym, a movie theatre and a fully functioning helipad for those wanted to chopper in on, according to yachtharbour.com.

Richie’s daughter Sofia, 22, has been recording the family holiday in Mykonos through her Instagram account. She posted photos of her dad walking the narrow alleys and doing some shopping. He is seen trying on different hats.

The cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, together with the rest of Greecereopened to visitors in May.

“The safe opening of the season of tourism is the result of a huge national bet that has demonstrated so far that Greece, and in particular, Mykonos is going to win,” Mykonos Mayor Konstantinos Koukas told Greek Reporter.

Mykonos airport currently has 12 daily flights arriving domestically from within Greece as well as International carriers including Quatar, LOT, Volotea, Air France, Easy Jet and Vueling.

“According to all indications, this year’s tourist year will be better,” Koukas said. “Firstly, mass vaccination has progressed in Greece and in all developed countries. Secondly, we are all wiser at the managerial level than we were a year ago. Thirdly, Greece, and particularly Mykonos, has had a satisfactory performance in terms of the pandemic.”

Richie has sold over 100 million records worldwide

The Richies are known for enjoying family vacations together. Last year Sofia was seen on a getaway with her dad in St. Barts in December of 2020.

The “All Night Long” singer shares Sofia and Miles with ex-wife Diane Alexander. Nicole, meanwhile, was adopted by Lionel and his first wife Brenda Harvey-Richie.

During the 1970s, Richie recorded with the funk band the Commodores, and his solo career made him one of the most successful balladeers of the 1980s. Over the course of his career, Richie has sold over 100 million records worldwide.

He won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for “Can’t Slow Down,” and his other Grammy awards include Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) in 1985 and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “Truly” in 1983.

Richie has also been nominated for two Golden Globe awards and won one. In 1982, he was nominated for Best Original Song for the film “Endless Love.”

In 1986, he won the Golden Globe award for Best Original Song for “Say You, Say Me,” featured in the film White Nights. The song also won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

In 2016, Richie received the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s highest honor, the Johnny Mercer Award. He has served with Luke Bryan and Katy Perry as a judge for the singing competition American Idol since its move to ABC from the Fox network, since 2018.
